Richardson, TX (September 20) North Texas Coldwell Banker Realtors gathering for the annual CBDFW International Business Conference (IBC) October 6 at the Westin-Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Hotel in Irving anticipate a day-long program on Connect with Success.
Among the featured speakers are Charles McMillan, President of the National Association of Realtors and a long-time executive with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage – Dallas/Fort Worth (CBDFW), who will present his insight on revitalizing the D/FW real estate market.
Bruce Zipf, President and Chief Executive Officer, NRT LLC, will highlight the company’s business-building initiatives and pending legislation affecting the national housing market. CBDFW President Sue Meyer’s introduction will kick off the event.
Featured speakers also include Rochelle Fitzgerald, Sales Associate at CBDFW’s Richardson office who will speak on “Using Your Coldwell Banker Tools to Grow Your Business.”
“Rochelle recently garnered national attention with her real estate blog and her savvy Web site design,” says Richardson office Branch Manager Pam Nelms. “At IBC she will share secrets for maximizing Coldwell Banker resources and personalizing business methodology for the Web.”
Florida Realtor Magazine’s 2008 Solutions Guide praised Ms. Fitzgerald for designing successful Realtor Web programs. “Texas’ Rochelle Fitzgerald turns her blog over to her customers to build referrals and testimonials,” the magazine noted, offering the www.realtorrochelle.blogspot.com/ for readers.
Her Web site caught the attention of program producers for “My First Home,” on the TLC cable channel. Two of her properties — 1600 Montclair in Richardson and 1926 Geary in Garland — were featured on the program.
“It was a nice reward for the sellers, both of whom had chosen me to represent them because of a strong marketing and advertising program as well as what my colleagues call my ‘outrageous customer service,’” says Ms. Fitzgerald. She also was chosen to try out for “Bang for Your Buck,” a local real estate report on HGTV.
Her talk at the IBC will offer insights on making the most of a Web site in the real estate industry, including the following:
- Keep an up-to-date business photograph on your Web site. Update it at least every two years. She advises female Realtors, “None of the 1980s glam pictures with the big hair and lots of make-up, but a realistic, business-like photo.”
- Use your Web site as a resource center to convince prospective clients to turn to you for connections, referrals and information — a virtual one-stop shop.
- The most successful Web sites are those with links to other sites with local information, schools, shopping and community information.
